Spent lunch in the hide today, not much activity and still no Goldfinches on my teasel. One did land on my other perch for a few seconds though, so I just took it, better than nothing.

Sexing Goldfinches isn't easy (to my knowledge) but there are subtle differences. I have a hunch this is a male.

Love these birds , they go very quite on my feeders this time of year , and the numbers really slow down till the young ones hatch . Fortunately I have a few Starlings coming in for the meal worms . Nice photo .
