I've never seen a 22.5mm lens and 30mm seems a bit short for macro even on APS-C. Actually, I can't say that I've ever seen a 30mm macro either.
Maybe a 50mm macro could be worth a look? It'll give a little more working distance and still be wide enough for more general use.
I do a lot of flower shots and normaly use a 50mm f2.5 or 150mm f2.8 macro or even just a normal 50mm f1.4 or 17-50mm f2.8 zoom, but 30mm seems an oddish choice for macro to me.
On to the camera body, I manage with a 20D but others who are really into macro like high mp count cameras.
Well...you learn something every day.
But I'd imagine that at 30mm you'll be pretty much on top of the subject and will stand the risk of blocking more light or frightening the subject away, but I'm only guessing as I've never tried one but it would be good for general use and the occasional close up shot of something that isn't going to fly or run away![]()
