So I pretty much know how to keep my battery going for longest time.. no wifi and all that... But think I have also found shooting Linear takes up more battery than shooting wide? I have googled but cant seem to find anything..

Can anyone confirm?

I shoot 270/60 and need it on for 50 minutes min .. 55 max ... I think linear doesnt quite last... its only 5 or 10 mins difference but I cant tell if the level of coldness makes that much difference.. Am doesnt some testing but takes hrs haha so if anyone knows ?
 
I suppose linear would involve more processing, so sounds plausible.

I've not used mine in enough repeated scenarios like you to have noticed I'm afraid.

I did a test this morning.... I dont like it indoors as heats up and my use is outdoors anyway.

did 50 mins 2.7k/60 WIDE and was left with 37% battery
did 50 mins 2.7k/60 LINEAR and was left with 27% battery

This from a windowsill so not as cold as I normally use out in wind.. am sure cold effects the battery as I dont get that much time at those settings... But for sure on 50 mins 10% difference..
