Happy Birthday to me
I've been on Tee Pee
For exactly twelve month now
But my pics are still shi-tee
Ok, so it's not my 'official' birthday, but I have been here for exactly 1 year today which means I must have been taking photos for about 1 year and 1 week. I was going to have a look back at my first thread, but it seems the profile link only goes back 250 threads, and the closest I could find was my intro thread.
The question I wanted to ask myself was whether I have improved, and if I have, how much. I struggle with this. As even pics from last week I find full of errors and things I'd change if I had the knowledge/skills.
I did find in my search an interesting thread dating back to May last year here I exclaim how crap I am, and how my sky is blown to hell and I'm "trying out RAW" and "don't have photoshop or lightroom". I know I've learn't a heck of a lot in the last 12 months, and without this forum I'd probably have given up on photography about 8 months ago like so many hobbies in the past. For this, I am very grateful, and well... I just wanted to say thanks. To all those who have answered my daft questions. To those of you who have fed my sponge-like head. To all of you who have looked at my photographs, commented on my photographs, offered advice where required, and pulled me apart when needed. To those of you who inspire me, and those of you who despise me.
