Government Loans for over 60s

Hi, I’ve just been offered a place at the Royal College of Art in London to do a Photography MA.

Looking at Student Finance England website it says that you can get a loan to do an undergraduate qualification when you’re over 60, but you can’t get finance for a postgraduate (MA) if you’re over 60.

To me, this makes no sense, is ageist and grossly unfair.

I wonder if anyone else has experience of this and if you’ve managed to secure funding elsewhere? Any thoughts? Thanks
 
I've certainly seen this - I was after doing an MA or MPhil in Sociology, but the cost was unsupportable in England. Now I'm in Northern Ireland, fees are significantly less for NI residents so it's not so much of a problem. Good luck with your quest.
