Group portrait help..?

[louise-knight]

Hellooo!
I've got a shoot tomorrow with a local metal band.
We're off to shoot at an old ruin in Sussex, Was just wondering if anyone has any advice shooting groups? (there's 4 of them!) posing etc.
I want to get a good few group shots, and then some portraits of them on their own.
any help, greatly appreciated!

Lou

get them to look at the camera.
watch your background for overly distracting stuff.
metal bands are good at snarling, moody looks etc.
a bit of moody b&w in post maybe?

Spread them out for some of the shots as well, give each of them space for their own pose. You should be able to get them stood, sat, crouching on different levels of the ruins. Make sure it doesn't look like a family photo.
