H4D True Focus Technology - Ooooh... that's clever!

[Flashman]

The new Hasselblad H4D:
"The new Absolute Position Lock processor ... accurately logs camera movement during re-composing, uses these exact measurements to calculate the necessary focus adjustment, and issues the proper commands to the lens's focus motor so it can compensate.
True Focus promises to be an unrivaled boon for photographers who rely on precision focus but want to actively adjust camera angle for the most striking composition."

How soon before this appears on DSLR's...?

[Hairyduck]

cool, very clever!

There goes another excuse...!

not too long its only accelerometers, accelerometers are already being installed on the 7d for its spirit level display........

Wow, that's amazing. I mean, every other camera manufacturer in the world just adds more focus points to the AF system. You don't get focus-recompose issues if you use an appropriate off-centre focus point. But that would be too simple.....
