Hope this one is ok to have here, mods, if not, feel free to delete/move!

Im wanting to delete my DP Review account as I can no longer login so it's useless to me but it's still popping up under Google searches for my name so thought it's best to remove it.

The reason I'm not able to remove it myself is a bit messy, so I'll try explain! I registered a few years ago when I was in college with my college email, but I have no idea what this email is, and as I've now left the email address is no longer active.

Does anyone know of any way I could get the account removed? I've tried emailing the webmaster but havnt received a reply, I've tried a few times now.

This is the account in question: http://www.dpreview.com/members/?User=hfilieiyhvik

It's probably entirely in the hands of the webmaster to be honest. How long ago did you email them? Unless you can prove to them that it is indeed your account they'll probably not delete it.

I've emailed them something like 3 or 4 times over the last two months and havn't received a reply. It doesn't really bother me, but would be nice to have it removed so it's off the Google homepage for my name.

If it's just the Google link that's bothering you, you could always make a fresh registration at DPR with updated info. This wont get rid of the old references but will at least confuse Google ;) :D

I don't think de-registering with them will remove the references with google, I think they are there for ever

No, they're not forever. The search results will disappear if the page no longer exists, usually after 31 days. Google constantly updates it's indexes to make sure search results are relevant.
