HDD problem

Well my main HDD has packed in....well n truly so now running on my spare that I store photos on (they are safe) so does anyone have any suggestions as to my next one that will be as good as my last one that did take some hammer from me, I am after somewhere in the region of 500GB sata but cheap lol seen a seagate barracuda for 50quid is this any good as I always use Maxtor

Have you also considered an SSD for a system drive or was it you who was selling the pair of Samsung SSDs the other day?
