Yes
Does anyone know of software which will put up appointment alarms/reminders on screen, preferably highly visible as well as audible, and 'always on top'

I usually rely on my PDA for this, but I'm sometimes letting the batteries run down, and 'er indoors gets decidedly waspish when I'm late picking her up! :help:

I don't think so, although I think I have it somewhere.

It's just Microsoft Outlook has calendar, appointments, reminders etc.

Fancy forgetting to pick up the wife! Hope you know the telephone number of the local florist!

LOL. I only do it now and again when I get engrossed and me PDA dies on me. :D

I'm amazed there isn't a facility within Windows for this.

Daft question - why dont you use the desktop S/W that comes with your PDA.
My PalmDesktop has just those features.

Mozilla have some nice things (and they are free):
- If you use Thunderbird as an email client with the "Lightning" calendar plug in.

- The standalone version of this is called sunbird

Just make sure that whatever application you want (one of the above or other...) has an entry in your "Startup" folder

Paul, you're a gent - I'll check those out. (y)
