Help For Lynton

Wheels / Slimbert,
If it's going to be as simple as Damian suggests and it's not going to inconvenience you and I can get it back to you via the same courier then I say go for it. No need to super rush it though as parents have hired one from a company in wroxham for a week ( though £15 + vat a week soon adds up) so I am sorted until Wednesday week

Let Slimbert speak to David tonight to see if it is feasible weight wise and if so then maybe early next week - arrange things?

As long as you are happy to do this Julian, and the costs are not prohibitive then much appreciated.

Thanks to all other tp'ers..... For their help and suggestions.

No problem at all, as long as it helps and I get it back once done with then you can definately use it.

Glad to see one is potentially sorted for Lynton. Hire would be an expensive option. If it came to it buying a cheapy would have been better..

Well done Julian for the offer of the wheelchair!

Heres hoping you are sorted Lynton.

My cunning plan would be to send it back the same way mate...... will speak over the weekend...................... when hopefully I am home and Damien has spoken to Dave.............

Only so I can get in my mum and dads lol, let me know when ever and will take it from there fella, I just want you able to get home and mobileISH

have you got a cunning plan though for your mum and dads whilst i have it?? Don't want you to be stuck and not able to visit at my expense............

Rofl, I just noticed Lynton's new title. ;)

Ive been ringing round parcel firms this morning to send my nhs manual chair down, but most seem to need you to have an account with them.

Ask the post office. It might be eligible to go parcelforce. If you get the sizes, look on the website for a price.

We're off to Norfolk on Holiday a week on Saturday but I assume that will be too late or I could have ferried one down from Halifax ( as long as it would go in the Scenic ) if someone comes up with a free one.

Offer there if needed.

All,

Many thanks for your kind offers of help and assistance - particularly "wheels" - who offered to lend me his own self prop chair - which would put himself at an inconvienience when visiting his parents - but something he was happy and willing to do.

Though a contact of my dad's have been able to locate a more local source of an unused 20" self prop chair, so logistically makes more sense to do this.............

Thanks all again for all your help...........and i am most grateful to you all.....for your generousity and the TP spirit!

Spotted this thread far to late... glad you're sorted out now, can't believe that the NHS refer patients to the Red Cross without first making sure that they have the necessary stock.

Hope you're able to get out with the camera soon, gotta fill that spare time with something! If you're up along the coast any time give me a shout.
