Help identifying a lens

Any help on what this lens is, it has no aperture marking but i'm guessing it around the f2.8 200mm because of the size of the thing. Maybe a ariel lens of some sort.

The dimensions are 4" long and 3.5inc wide.
 
get some piccies of the iris blades, I'm thinking eastman/Kodak aero ektar 172mm f2.5.
 
Is there a way to test the approximate focal length? Eg getting an image from a window onto an opposite wall? Might give some clues...
 
My sister in law has one of those to use with her Speed Graphic.

It has a quite chunky Thorium glass element IIRC, so it's mildly radioactive.
