I have a 5D2 and 2 430 ex2's - I am going round in circles and reading too much now so would appreciate any recommendations

Lol, I'm in the same situation.

I'm thinking pixel king for ETTL control but favour the RF603's for price.

:plusone:

Just going through the same thing myself. Not sure on Yongnuo 602's or to go the full hog and go for some flex tt's

Huge price difference but I need to get it right 1st time, need a couple of stands and brollies too

I was not aware that anything but Canons 550ex, 580ex or ST-E2 could give ETTL control of a Canon flash out of the hot shoe.

I have tried third party basic flash triggers on my 430ex with poor results, the one I used only worked once, then the flash had to be powered off and on and removed from the remote trigger to get a second shot.

I've no idea what the pixel kings are like, but I love the PW flex triggers.

They do everything the ettl flashes need, including manual, and will also work as straight radio triggers for the studio flash too.

They are expensive though.

I have just seen :gag: think some saving up may be in order :D

I saw a video review of the pixel king ETTL radio triggers a while back, they looked pretty good, especially as they seem to go for around the £100 mark. I have used some simple Yongnuo triggers and they are fine if you are happy setting everything manually .
