Ok here is my enigma, i cant make up my mind wether to stop as i am with my lenses or rid the 17-70 and 70-300 and get the Canon 24-105mm L IS USM would this be a good or bad move:thinking:

Honestly - I've no idea about any of those lenses but my immediate question would be how much do you use the longer end of the 70-300 at the moment?
 
if you don't need longer than 105mm or wider than 24mm you won't regret buying the 24-105mm , the only problem is 24mm isn't very wide on a crop body, on a FF body it's plenty wide enough

Ah thats part of my problem i find the 70-300 a teaser its not really long enough ive took a lot of pics with this lens that need cropping hence losing image quality, because of this i find im using it less and less:)

Would it not be better then to try and get a longer length so you can take the photos you want?

That's a good point - what is it about the 24-105mm L IS USM that makes you want it over a different longer zoom?

Is it the L aspect?
