Help, my Alt key has flicked off!

I was busy brushing the biscuit crumbs from between my laptop keys and the Alt key flicked off

It looks a tricky little begger to put back on because of a white plastic hinged thingy that has to lock into another white plastic thingy on the body of the laptop.

Has anyone got any hints to how to pop the Alt key back into place?

Generaly if you click the little spreader hinged dodah back in first and then just pop the key on and give it a gentle push it should just click back on.

Anyhting more difficult take a valium first because your guarenteed to lose the plot

Chris, thanks, I owe you one. I popped the doodah off the key, fitted it to the plastic/metal thingy on the laptop body and popped the key back on to the doodah..... job done

MacBook by any chance? Mine did the same - 4 keys came off within 2 days, but when I went back they just gave me a new one

No, not a Mac, just a Dell laptop. good as new now though
