Help needed... !! Internet wont work on lappy

My wife said that the laptop had a virus " of some sort I dont know what"

Anyhow now when we try and connect to the internet i get.....

SId2c_220.exe has stopped working

? This means nothing to me. It says the proxy server is not responding :shrug:


Does anyone have any ideas..

nO iedea on that mate and a google search on SId2c_220.exe throws up only 1 result, this page.

I am trying a system restore now to see if it makes any difference :shrug:

random executable file names can point to malware, id run a full scan with your AV package and malwarebytes.

what internet browser are you using? also check for proxy details in the connection options and remove them.
