help needed

does anyone know why that when I am viewing pictures sometimes I can see them and then sometimes I can t its just the red cross in the corner is it my computer.Never happened before its been doing it for the past week.I go on a forum start looking through the threads everything is fine and then sometimes where the picture is it is blank its driving me mad.

Any particular threads? Are they all hosted from the same site (like flickr or photobucket). You viewing from home or from work? Tried different browsers?

I get that occasionally and occasionally if you right click the red X you get an option to "show image" sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't

I get this sometimes as well, I do the same as Cobra suggested and like he says sometimes it opens the picture, sometimes it doesn't - not sure what causes it though

Red x's only appear in IE (as far as i know), so try another browser, see if that solves it.

You shouldnt be using IE anyway if you are

I use Firefox primarily, although theres also Safari, Opera and Google Chrome to choose from

Yes, upgrade. ie7 is worse than 6 in most areas.

I took a wee chance and got IE 8.

Loads up far quicker than FF and no problems so far.

The only thing I miss is the countdown function that FF had on ebay, otherwise every bit as good and faster.

Must admit that I didn't notice any real change from 6 to 7 apart from the
tabbard browsing ( I think that was a "7" up date?
