Help needed

Hi

I have just been asked to take photos of a friends baby. It would be my first time doing this stuff so whats the procedure and how much should I charge seen as it would be my first time so I cant give a guarantee of quality of the photos and if they will look right.

I said that but they are saying they want the photos printed and are asking me to name a price.

You could just work out what markup you want on the prints and charge that. That way they are only paying for what they want and you make some money out of it

Most togs will charge a small session fee and then a price per print/canvas etc... so as its your 1st time maybe no fee and they pay for images they like. If they like lots then £££, if they are all crap then they pay nothing!!

I have a simple price list on my site. Recommend DSCL, Sams or Loxleys for prints.

Do you have a backdrop? If you look at one of my most recent threads it is of yesterdays baby shoot. Because she had a nice wall (white and fairly clean) I used that as a background as the 1yo was too mobile!!! So you can use a clean white wall if no backdrop. The black pics were a black throw over a sofa, same with the creamish one.
