I was trying to but one partition you can not do anything to, well not when I was looking at it I had the disk showing 3 partitions to start with got rid of the 2 and made it one but I still have a small part that look like its locked. anyone?

I thought you meant the recovery partition that sets the laptop back to factory settings?

Google Hirens disk and use one of the partitioning tools there eg. Partition Magic.

you mean the system reserved partition? windows wont let you delete that. there are hacks you can do to remove it as some say it isnt needed but personally id leave it alone.

well it not small its a HD from a dead laptop and I put it in a case for moving photos about etc, its 120GB and the bit I cant get to is 9.28GB in disk management it says Healthy (Recovery Partition) it is not the partition that has the date to recover I have removed that OK and now have a partition 102.51MB
