Hi,

I'm in my second year of a multimedia degree and I need some help with an assignment.

I'm generating a 3D model / animation that needs images that show different life experiences.

My tutor likes my idea (zooming in on grains of sand with images flowing from an hour glass). However he is worried about copyrighted images.

This is where I need help please.

Would any of you be willing to let me use your images in my animation? I cant pay you as funds won't allow. But if i use your images I will credit you in the animation.

I need different life type experiences. Mother holding baby, sunrise, eclipse, plane taking off etc etc. All our images are life experiences. So whatever you want to let me have will be much appreciated.

I am not making any money out of this whatsoever. I just want to make a decent animation that I will be proud of.

just out of curiosity - if your doing a multimedia degree, can you not take your own photographs if required? surely a work that is 100% your own is better?

just a query, nothing against your approach.
 
Hi Celine,

I'm concentrating on 3D modelling for my second year. I will be using my own images as well. But I would also like images of say a conflict, new years party or a protest.

The lead time on the animation is very short and I could just go and troll the internet and get the images. However this is firstly illegal and does the image taker a disservice. This will be in effect a collaboration and I appreciate the effort that has been taken in getting different images.

I also want to get a different perspective on different life experiences. Each hour glass will be a different existence. Each grain of sand is what makes up our personality.

I hope this is a good enough explanation for your valid question.

Hi Celine and Chris,

I bought some images from istock photo when i was generating some dvd covers for an assignment. I was the only one who bought the images! The rest of my classmates used images they googled.

istock will cost me in the region of £100+ for the amount of images i need.

If I have to I will pay royalty's as this is part of my portfolio and I want it to be as good as i can get it. I was very much hoping that some of the talent on here would allow me to use their work.

I will show you what i have created when i have finished it. (well perhaps not if it's crap) :D
