Help With Battery Query

I want to buy a spare battery for my new Canon 600D and i have noticed that the canon ones are between £30 and £40, but there are other makes for around £10/£12, could anyone recommend a non genuine battery that would be safe to use in the camera. I don't want to risk damaging the camera.

I did notice that some of the cheaper ones have a higher mAh and voltage, i have given an example below :

Canon battery : 1120mAh 7.2v

Non genuine battery : 1350mAh but no voltage shown (from Maximfoto)

Your advice would be much appreciated.
 
Go for something like Phottix

I use OEM or 7dayshop batteries and have had no problems so far. All do the job and are far cheaper than Canons price.
 
I've bought 3rd party grips off ebay for a Canon 550D, 7D and a 5D2 and all have come with 3rd party batteries. They have worked perfectly with the cameras listed, as well as with a 5D3 and a 60D. They all report correctly in the camera and work as well as the genuine ones from Canon that cost maybe 5 or 6 times as much.
 
I bought the maximfoto one a couple of months ago and it's fine. Lasts the same if not longer than the canon original.
 
I use 3rd party batteries in my 550d and they are fine. I think I paid about £8 each for them from ebay. I would buy a few more, but I can smell a 7d upgrade coming sooner rather than later. :)
 
Ok thanks everyone, i tried 7dayshop but they wont have any for a couple of weeks, so i might get that one from maximfoto seeing as Gareth was happy with his.
 
I got a 3rd party grip for my 500D from eBay which came with 2 'cheapo' batteries. Work just as well as the genuine Canon one at a fraction of the price.
