Hengistbury Head tonight. A dirty filter wrecked about 80% of the shots - my own stupid fault and it was extremely exposed hence very windy.

i like this shot but i feel there is something missing, but at the moment i cant get hold of what....

I like it too but.....and this is just a guess, I THINK it lacks something in the foreground, for added interest and a gauge for perspective. BUT could be wrong.
 
It needs a large stone, washed up tree root or something as foreground "interest".
 
yeah...you tried cropping it more harsly like a pano?
 
I had some good shots with wispy grass in a small dune as foreground with the eye being led along the shoreline to the last rays of the sun (it had turned very cloudy) but my ND grad was very streaky - my own fault obviously for not checking it and being in too much of a rush to catch the light. Live & learn eh?!
