I’ve tried a Raynox and also a Marumi - is there another option? CheersHave you tried the inside macro achromatic Mike? They are pretty decent going by the few shots I have taken with them.

Interesting, thanks Alby. The Nisi lenses certainly get you close but the dof goes wafer thin doesn't it (physics I guess so not much to be done about it)Three close up shots, one with rx10iv at 600mm no attachments, one with the Nisi close up lens at 600mm and one with the Nisi MC close up lens attached at 600mm to show magnification with the achromats.
All sooc no adjustments made.

yeah the closer you get the thinner the dof. Focus stacking is the answer Mike .Interesting, thanks Alby. The Nisi lenses certainly get you close but the dof goes wafer thin doesn't it (physics I guess so not much to be done about it)
Hmm - tried that in the distant past and it needs a level of commitment beyond that which I possessyeah the closer you get the thinner the dof. Focus stacking is the answer Mike .

You actually get amazing shots from your RX10 iv on Flickr they look goodNo - I have the OM1 + 60mm + 8-25mm. If Olympus had a 12-300 that could shoot macro I'd be all over it. It's more about trying to optimise the gear so I can get good results with the minimum amount of kit - an unsolveable conundrum but it's 'fun' trying

I get quite a lot in my garden Mike, l even had a headless blackbird on the lawn the other day, pretty gross.Well caught Alby - wish I had wildlife like that in my garden!

Super detail Mike, is this just 600mm and a bit of a crop?
Yes, nothing fancy - just sneaking in to around 70cm (minimum focus distance) on aperture priority at f5 with auto iso. Cropped and cleaned up with TopazSuper detail Mike, is this just 600mm and a bit of a crop?
