Holi One - Power Colour Festival - Camera Protection, etc.

Hi All,

I'm going to go to Holi One in Birmingham to take some pictures. It's a festival of colour, where everyone throws colourful powder around and at each other.

The powder looks relatively harmless (http://www.holione.com/en/events/birmingham.html) and they also give a few pointers on camera use but I wanted to see what people on here had to say....

Would people take their equipment to something like this?
What would/wouldn't they use and why?
Would they protect their camera and how?
Would they take any additional equipment to protect their gear?

Any other ideas, input and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Get a decent weatherproof cover and duct tape it onto the lens hood, use a lens protecting filter, tape around the lens/camera join, tape over all ports, and don't change lenses.

No chance, I wouldn't even consider taking my gear. Use a camera phone!

Definitely would put me off read Marks link the dust even got inside pro weatherproof cameras
They had to be stripped down and cleaned out
Was enough of the stuff inside a lens that it gummed up the autofocus part's
No way would I chance it

I imagine a waterproof divers enclosure would be the only thing able to survive these kinds of conditions?

Was hoping to do a colour run (same powders etc) and considering bringing my gopro black,
