hi all , i have been busy trying to save some money. thought i would share this with you, it's to fit on my tripod via the qr plate and gives me 50 degrees up and down ( tilt ) movement and a full 360 degrees turn. really easy and cheap to make and should help me photograph aeroplanes easier.
just need to polish it up a bit now.:)

Always like seeing homemade metal gizmos, hope you don't mind my comment

Would a big old wing nut be better to secure it than the ordinary one you have on there?

Only thinking it would save carrying a spanner and its got a fair bit of weight to hold steady

I love making my own stuff, I am just waiting for parts to be delivered so I can build some sensors and a drip kit to go with my Camera Axe for high speed photography :thumbs:

This looks like the basis of something I am looking to make to mount some of my high speed stuff, When you say cheap and easy to make is that cheap and easy if you have a lathe :lol: or is it bullet from off the shelf parts:shrug:

hi rich, the shaft is drilled and tapped so it is fixed with a bolt. i intend leaving it in 1 piece.

hi mark, yes sorry the easy is if you have a lathe/milling machine:D i'm sure some could make it without machines.

thanks everyone for your comments, i was well pleased with it so thought i would share the idea.:thumbs:
