Yes
so topic came up at college today about how it would be fun to all chip in and take some aerial shots from a hot air baloon. only problem is none of us knew the first think about hot air balooning.
being scouring about google hopelessly for the last half hour.
just wondering anyone here done it before?
i have no idea what kind of price range we were looking at either, virgin flights do it price per person which i found strange. i know more weight means use of more gas for lift etc but we were looking for a group of say about 5 of us.

or in the off chance anybody want to take us out for a day who has a baloon and a license :D

that seems ideal but i live south scotland. with massive open field areas but theres not to local. a couple in cumbria area i think and around lake district.

Boots used to do packages like quad biking, going up in a hot air balloon etc in store. I don't know if they still do though!

I've done it before, I have a license, but it's expired as I no longer have a balloon to fly. It make photography look like a very cheap hobby. The last season I flew the running costs worked out at about £250 per flight, this was quite a few years back in a small 2 man balloon.

£95 for 4 people is extremely cheap, it is usually well over £100 per person.

It might be worth contacting your local area of the BBAC and seeing if they are having a fly out/other event, that way you might be able to organise something.

One thing to bear in mind is that most flights happen between March and September due to the weather conditions...
