Hotpoint to recall some tumble dryers over fire risk

@BigAndy might.

A quick update. I have received an email back, and they are giving me a choice between a "fix" and a replacement condenser drier for £99. The new drier looks a bit naff and is only available in white, and the boss wants silver finish.
As far as I am concerned, if I have to pay £99 then it is not a "replacement".

It's a bit of a rip off really. Even if you could specify the colour, you could end up with the basic model when you initially bought the top end machine.

My feelings exactly. I will get them in to do the repair, and until that is done, make sure that I monitor the machine when it is on, and unplug it when not in use.

Just out of interest how many of you have your dryers serviced ?

How many of you empty the lint catch after every drying load has finished
?

Every single time. :)
