Hoverflies

Taken with my new toy, 7artisans 60mm F2.8 II Macro Manual Fixed Lens. (I used a cheap little speed light flash too)

I have two privet bushes that flower this time of year. They have a lot of activity on them. I love these little Hoverflies as the will do what their namesake says, they hover for you for a second or two allowing me to get a manual lens shot on them

Wonderful set of images and I have tried many times to capture a Hoverfly in flight and failed many, many times.
A macro lens is great I think it is my AF points as I should use Zone instead of single expanded AF point !

Well done on the in-flight ones, not easy to get those.

Mostly Episyrphus balteatus, but the bottom one is Eupeodes luniger. The head on one, I can't tell - not enough in focus.
