How can i have a public upload for pictures?

I would like to add a part of my site for fans to upload pictures and they will be displayed in a gallery. I am running Wordpress on my site. Does anyone know anything that might be able to do it, it doesnt need to be through wordpress as i can edit the theme to suit i think.

Various gallery add-ons such as Coppermine will allow users to upload, some will require a login/registration and that's probably sensible or you'll end up with all kinds of nasty stuff being uploaded

i dont mind the login/registration part, is it easy for people to use? I would like it to be where you select upload, pick the picture and then it uploads it to a gallery. Is this possible then?

Gallery2 will do that, and its a fairly easy process for the users.

they are bringing out Gallery 3 out soon, anyone know if there is much of a difference?

Gallery3 is feature stripped to reduce its size. Beta1 has been launched recently.
