how do you stop a printer cropping

Little help please if possible. I have an HP Photosmart 8150 printer manufacter date of around 2004. The problem I have is that the printer crops a picture which I can't seem to avoid. Maybe its too old to have any adjustments but I just can't seem to be able to print out the exact size as on the computer screen. Ok I know one should allow a picture to be cropped when printed by allowing a larger area around the subject, but this is not always possible when taking animal photos close up. the printer comes up with 2 choices, A= Ful page fax (which does the correct size but terrible
reproduction)
Or B= Full page photoprint cropped and rotated to fit which chops too much out)

Any advice would be most welcome and thank you in advance for any advice.

sound like your using windows explorer/windows picture viewer to print?
Use your photo editing software to print.

Also it will be cropping because your photo is not the same aspect ratio as the sheet of paper.

Thanks Fezzr will try that instead , you are correct in my trying with windows picture.

This is the photo I am trying to print but may need a little more PP first

Its my wifes new puppy Border Terrier at 7 weeks old
