How fast is iphone tethered to lappy?

I have used mine to tether several times and provided that there is a strong 3G connection the performance is fine. What is it you are wanting use it for? General browsing, uploading, downloading, etc?
 
There are a couple of threads about dongles and remote filing over in Sports Mark.

General opinion normally settles on a 3 dongle.

Tbh I wouldn't want to rely on the iPhone's connectivity if I needed a caste iron filing method.

When you said 3 dongle, was that any phone providers 3G dongle or The 3 phone network?
 
The 3 network (using 3G of course! :) )

It seems to offer some of the most reliable coverage.

Are you touting yourself in the mayhem of the Press market now then? :lol:

Not strictly speaking, my stuff goes to the monthlies, so no real rush.
However, I've got quite a bit lined up this season with a few celebs here and there, and realised I may have missed the boat a few times, in the past, by not getting stuff out quick enough. Having earned a little from last years celebs that I did get published, seems crazy not to make a bit more effort :)

Found the thread on Sports, about 3G dongles, looks like thats the way to go, Cheers :thumbs:
