i might be wrong here, but i think thats an adult greater spotted woodpecker with a juvenile that has just fledged,

but a great shot none the less,

You could be correct here MyPix because the one on the feeder was doing all the hard work then giving it to the one on the left..(y)

I wish they were stuffed mate, It would solve all the waiting around problems..:LOL:
 
Had three last year and year before but shots apalling. Family party regulars on the nuts - raised two youngsters - but not this year when I was ready for them!

PS forgot - great shots!

Right first time there ... Greater Spotted Woodpecker - (Dendrocopos major) adult (male) feeding the juvenile !
