How to fill blown-out highlight in sky... with graduated and mixed colours?

Anyone have genius ways of filling in the blown out area please?

Obviously made tricky by the mixed colours.

There really was no detail. What a plum.

Open in PS.

Copy background layer.

Make rough selection of good sky using lasso.

Select free transform from edit and stretch selection to fill the duff area.

Flatten and save.

Forgot to mention that I tried Content Aware fill and patch. Doesn't work.
