how to make my shots look natural?

hey everyone, i have a couple of birds in a cage (chestnut breasted mannikin's) and i would love to get shots of them looking natural, anyone have any hints or tips on how to house them in a naturalistic setting for a photo? bit of a weird question but thought id ask it anyway lol, cheers, Joe

Depends how big their cage is.. or if you're willing to let them out into a room!

If cage only.. some uniform green/brown/colour of your choice cloth at the back of the cage will give you a nice clean background, though depending how far you can throw it out of focus will depend on how well that works. Pop in a natural branch and away you go!

If you're happy to let them out, then same principle but with a bigger working space, you should get better pics!
