How to name files correctly???

Apologies for this possibly silly question, but I'm putting wedding pics on a disc, I've named the files in numerical order i.e - 1,2,3,4 etc going up to 350, but if you view them on a Playstation or dvd player or any other device than a computer, they jumble up to a degree. For example, all the numbers with a 1 at the start i.e 1, 10, 100 all get put together as do any numbers with with 2 i.e 2, 20, 200 and so on with the rest of the sequence.
Can anyone let me know the simple solution please? Thanks in advance! :)

001, 002, 003.. .. 098, 099, 100, 101.. ..

start your first file as img_001

can you start the sequence 001 rather than just 1? Then they would be view in the correct order.

Thanks to all three of you for the replies. Feel a bit stupid that it's that simple! Will get changing the file names to 001 and so on. Cheers again!

seems you can count either because theres 4 :D kidding

its only simple when you know, but if you didnt ask you wouldnt know, so easy ask

It's probably simple to us because we've all made file-naming errors in the past :D

Another handy tip is to always use the reverse date format when naming files by date, i.e. yyyymmdd. That way consecutive days are always sequential.
