1. Brown and white bird
2. Speckled grey bird
3. Black cormorant thing
4. Red bird that you've diddled with in Photoshop.

2. Sanderling

Very nice shots by the way.

#4 = Cormorant ... but not sure about the red face ...

Nicely captured Mike ... (y)

:p

No idea apart from the Yellowhammer, but as Ven noticed the numbering is all wrong ;)

Great shots of whatever they are :)

OOPS sorted now, I had forgotten about this thread.

Ok I'll give you a clue, they were all taken in Cuba earlier this year and apart from the Sanderling and the LRP I have no idea what the other two are.

Mike.

Last one is a Yellow Warbler which has red streaks on its breast(nothing original about that must admit, think Yellow hammer would do.

There are two species of cormorant in Cuba
Double-crested Cormorant, Phalacrocorax auritus
Neotropic Cormorant, Phalacrocorax brasilianus
So take your pick

Hi,

think as you say the Cormorant is a Double Crested one as listed HERE

Still unsure about the yellow one, still searching.....

Mike.

The last one is definitely a Yellow Warbler (Dendroica petechia) as can be seen HERE

Ok so everyone happy now..... :p :D
