Well pleased today, I have received my final confirmation that I have got my place on my chosen Uni course - MA Photography. :)

Not bad for a old git.

Well done and good luck, there may be a glimmer of hope for me yet then at the grand old age of 45

Congratulations:)

Great result Mark, Nice to see over 40's getting there !

Bloomin' eck. If your that good already whats an MA gonna do to you.

I looked at your site, i find it daunting really - knowing someone as good as yourself even feels the need to go to uni, i've got a looooooong way to go it seems.

I guess its about individual ambitions/desires etc, but well done on getting your place, im sure you'll do great!

Me too but I have to wait 15 years before I can stop working :bang:

Oh and absolutely congratulations

Lots of nice student discounts too :D

Thanks for the comments,

It all started in 2005 when i decided i wanted to change career to photography, i did an open college network course (ocn) in photography to gain a level 3 qualification and access to HE certificate. 3 years after that I have just finished my photography degree gaining a 1st, which i'm totally chuffed about. I want to run a photography training centre with the emphasis a bit like Luminous Landscapes do but a UK version, and have decided to do the MA and hopefully a teacher training course afterwards, then look at the opening some sort of centre, but that's a long way off yet.

Student discounts are very nice CS5 Master, lightroom, apple computers, etc the list is endless.

Superb well done, I went to my local college this week to enroll but they only have a £35 course for 2hour sessions for 10 weeks on basic DSLR use, with no qualifications. Or a £1600 2 year multimedia course ending with a diploma. I chose neither

[S1]Good luck with your course:thumbs:[/S1]

even my sigh? :) that was for you calling yoursel an "old git" at 40 ... makes people like me over 50 sigh :)

I just go with the flow, on my last course average age was 22 i was referred to as the "old git" past 30 and you've had it according to them, but i still showed them how to party !!! and take photos.

Sighing is what the over 50's are best at...:exit:

some nice shots on your site.
did you complete your BA first and what did you get, 1st? 2.2?

I would have loved to do the MA if i hadn't chosen CG Arts BA, but never mind, 35 now.

Just a heads up, on your about me part of your site, you have spelt "wish" and "commission" wrong. :D

Yes BA 1st,

Damn spelling corrected :whistling:
