No Sir I do not have that 14/24 yes but 12/24 noDon't you already have a 12-24/2.8? Could have sworn you said that was in your kit bag in the past, I don't see you'd need anything more than that, it has a filter thread right?

As David implied, if you've already got the 14-24 then spending as much again on a lens that probably isn't any better is a bit pointless.
But if you've got the urge to spend some money, don't let us put you off!!

A comparison on ePHOTOzine between the two had the Nikon edging it, subjective though.

Thanks for sharing the review Andy............kind of strange not using a Nikon body for the test but like I said above it might be wise to just invest in a filter system for the 14/24. Got anothe 5 days before I get off the rig so time to ponder on the best options^this

I have the 24mm already and love that lens but like you say its a wee bitty long for Scottish Highlands coastal shots. Not sure if the Zeiss 21mm will work on my Leica M........need to check that outI also thought it odd to use a Canon, but I believe it's not uncommon as there is no equivalent in the canon line up.
I guess if you're after something smaller than the 14-24, then the Zeiss does make a lot of sense if you don't mind the manual focus. Otherwise there's the Nikon 24mm which is a bit longer and also rather expensive.
What is the very very very BEST lens for landscape to screw onto a Nikon D800e????..........looked at the Zeiss 55mm 1.4 but the focal length is to narrow![]()
Probably a tilt-shift is the ultimate landscape lens, eg 24mm PC Nikkor for depth-of-field control, perspective correction, and distortion-free stitched panoramas.
Just told my dealer to get me one................now comes the youtue and google learning curveProbably a tilt-shift is the ultimate landscape lens, eg 24mm PC Nikkor for depth-of-field control, perspective correction, and distortion-free stitched panoramas. Best on a tripod. Extremely sharp, and knowing your affection for quality gear, I think you'd love playing with one of these
Not used the Nikon, but the Canon 24mm T&S gives something like a 12mm lens field-of-view with stitched panoramas.
