Hi,

As some of you may know I take many pictures of boat Photos out at sea and i am wanting a website where people can buy the photos of there boat, like

http://www.boatphotos.co.uk

I have available web space and a domain but i do not know where to go from here,

I NEED a search function which can bring up the photos of the boat.

So is there a way to get a good professional looking website quite easily as i am not a web designer.

If your hosting has mySQL and PHP capabilities then something like Gallery2 would suit you! It install itself, all you need to do is configure it...and you can add keywords to photos etc for people to search through :)

Edit - Just had a look at your site....it seems to do the job? :shrug:
 
Can you also add additional pages, with info etc or is it just a gallery?

I need otehr pages about pricing, contact forms etc
 
Hmm...not too sure on that exactly...I've always had it integrated into a joomla website (which does allow extra pages to be added) but that's getting quite complicated! Depends on how confident you are I guess!
 
Wordpress is another option.. I haven't used it but might do.. not sure if they offer a checkout option or not but usually there are add-ons for this available.

The easiest gallery i've used (and use) is plogger but again not sure about the shop potential.

As your requirements are actually getting quite involved, this may be an avenue to look at, but I don't think you are going to get something that you will be able to do without having any web knowledge at all.
 
How about using PhotoStore, that costs a bit but in my own opinion seems to be worth it.
Feel free to have a look at my own site - that's the program that I am using for mine.

It lets people search for images, you can add your own pages, you need almost no web-knowledge... the link to PhotoStore site is here!! link to my own site is at the end of the post...
