I am looking to purchase elements to compliment my editing after I crop etc with I photo. IS there anything I need to watch out for, I did hear something about poor compatibility.
 
Hi not a comparability issue as such, but if you get the latest version of elements then switch off the auto face recognition. It can play silly games with the organiser and cause it to freeze or crash
 
Elements 8 works a treat on the Mac. With regards to i photo if you make any changes to a photo based in i photo in elements 8 and save it. It does not show in the thumbnails in i photo unless you take it out of i photo and then put it back in again! bit of a pain but hey ho!

you're best off doing it the other way round, import your photos to your computer NOT using iPhoto, make your edits, then drag the finished article into iPhoto.
