managed to get a few albums on i pod, but some are wma, have tried taking off songs to disc and tried putting it through apple software, it kept coming up cant download because one or more files are wma, anyone any ideas how i can get around this, haven't got original cd's, thanks in advance

If you import wma into iTunes it should convert them, providing they don't have drm

they are wma protected, i know there is a setting somewhere to change format to mp3 but blowed if i can remember where it is,
funny thing is i have put some of files on my phone,

The method for using a CD as an intermediate only works if you burn it as an audio disc and then rip it in iTunes - just copying the wma to a CD and then taking it off again won't work.

i believe thats the only way for DRM wma. unless you can find a program that converts to MP3 that strips the protection. not that id suggest such a thing on here.

you could save some disks and use a virtual drive and ISO
