I dont mean to be rude, but where the heck have you had that lens to get it so dirty!? Or am I just really clean and everyone elses lenses get this dirty?

loads a places most of it just dried on dirt! from whne i go on walks put my hand on a not so clean rock and then proceed to take a shot.
I dont clean the barrell just the front element.

i would guess it is the fact the rest of us sit there stroking our kit while mumbling "my precious" that removes the muck(unless it is just me)

my 150mm has a few bloody marks on it from when i cut my hand!

Ok i am going to clean my lenses tonight, just for the satisfaction of everyone here!

thank you:clap:

now, back on topic, when you looking for this new camera betty and whats wrong with your existing?

of the blood or the clean lenses? :p

Jesus Christ Almighty, you bunch of bloody spammers  I was just having a run of the mill moan about wanting a new camera, and I come back to a three page spamfest :D

Without reading the whole thread, (cos I am off out food shopping) I only *thought* I needed a higher ISO, as the last thing I did indoors, I really struggled with. Thinking on, I really need a second body for shooting weddings next year, so the 40D is probably on the cards.

As you all were :D

good call Betty, a 40d is a quality camera, i know as its my pride and joy ;)

Four pages of helpful comments and advice and your off out food shopping? That's gratitude! ;)

haven't read all the rest but the ISO performance of the 400D I recall as being on a par with the 30D...and as far as I know the 40D isn't much of an improvement on the 30D. Seems like you just want a new camera:D and why not, it's christmas

but I'd get yourself some nice fast primes, you'll get more fun out of them than you would a new body I suspect.

With a parting salvo of calling us all spammers as well! I mean, have you ever been so insulted?!

So, what do we think Betty will end up buying then?

I'll go for cornflakes and Campbells Tomato Soup.

2nd hand 5D Betty..............full frame goodness, amazing skin tones, ISO 1600 no problem, much favoured by wedding togs for very good reasons...............currently about £600-800 for a cracker.

Go on, you know you want to ;)

A Pear, 2 un-ripe bananas, some PG Tips tea bags and a loaf of brown/wholemeal bread :)

Oh, and a 40d ;)

You buggers :D

Ok ok, Ill leave it at that, and will keep an eye on the for sale bit after xmas :)
