Hello Everyone:wave:,
Im doing photography for my Sixform A Level , and one of my projects is Architectural Structues , and i just wanted to know what idea's everyone has on that , and what i should do and so on.

Thanks

TBH get yourself over to Flickr and have a search for either / both those terms. 400000000 photos of anything that can be photographed so there's bound to be some inspiration! Once you've got some ideas have a trawl round your locale looking for similar examples.. I'm not doing your homework for you ;)

Really?? I've just found nearly 4 million images tagged as architecture and 37000 groups relating to architecture on FlickR... What I'm getting at is you need to find images that appeal to you, what in your eyes says "architecture" or "structure". I can post a picture of my gable end wall, it's architecture and it's a structure but it's boring as hell!! I'm pulling you leg BTW with the homework comment, but photography, as any other artform, is down to personal tastes and interpretation. Research and look for inspiration, you'll learn a lot more than me simply posting a picture of a brick wall / bridge etc...

Best wishes

Carl

"Architectural Structures" implies something in the title. It could mean simply that a building is a "structure" and no more and you could take shots of simply buildings. Alternatively I would take it to mean that you should be looking for a "structure" which has architectural qualities. Perhaps a bridge? Perhaps the frame of a half built or half demolished building. Perhaps the columns and beams (the structure) of a modern or historic building. Once you decided what you are going to base your theme - focus on it and it alone. Don't take millions of shots of loads of buildings. Take shots of your chosen subject from all angles, include close-ups and long shots, looking up and looking down and at diffenent times of the day.
