I'm planning a trip..

As some may know, I've recently took redundancy from my previous job, I start another one in December.

I plan to take a driving trip, just me and my camera. I have only got two stops planned, Edinburgh to see my sister and Shrewsbury to see my Dad.

These are the only plans I have made so far, I haven't booked boats but in all likelihood it will be a Larne to Stranraer outward journey and a Liverpool to Belfast homeward.

I would like it to last about a week. Is there anything that I must see while I'm in Scotland/England??

Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

Blimey, thats a big question. Just a few then, the view from Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh, lots of lovely stuff in the Borders (Grey Mare's Tail waterfall etc), Lake District (where to begin?), Yorkshire Dales, Trough of Bowland in Lancashire, Stiperstones south of Shrewsbury. The list is endless...

I'll have two days in Edinburgh, then two days to travel to Shrewsbury with a final two days there.

Thanks for the reply Andy. I've made a note of everything you've mentioned, now I'll just need to get my itinerary sorted.
