iMac built in web cam help

My daughter wanted to take a picture of herself on cbeebies website then edit it etc..
But when she clicks the link to take the picture the camera does not activate.

Is there some kind of setting I need to change?

Yes the camera works fine, I tested that. Just does not like the webpage.

I'm stumped then - for a moment i thought i'd not re-connected the fiddly little connector when i did the HDD upgrade

No there is! You have to click on the red Play Games button

It wouldn't let me press 'Allow' on the little flash dialogue that popped up.. but I could press 'Deny' That's on a Macbook!

Right, done it, had to press allow 3 times and everything worked perfectly.
(early aluminium iMac)

Yes, thats right, It always worked, just wanted you all to put cbeebies on while your wife's/husbands are around!

Anyway, I clicked it three times and still nothing. I dont even get the green light when the camera is on like in photobox.
