i need to know a few answers to the questions im going to ask

1st one i understand copyright , I am after a image of a car to use as part of a webpage i.e Header / banner to save time i used google to search for images the last thing i need is a law suit for use of a image due to copyright

but on google the images say maybe subject to copyright any ideas to tell if they are 100% copyrighted as there is no watermarks on alot of images

Is there some where if i cant use the images on google to get some free images from

just a quick note to get a picture like i want is something i could not get myself at the level im at

They are copyright protected unless the webpage says otherwise (even then you need to be careful as the person saying there is no copyright may not be authorised to do so etc)

Visit the websites that the pictures are linked to, should mention something about copyright on there.

Be good if we had an idea of what car image you are after? Perhaps wallpaper sites have large enough res files and a polite email their way may get you what you need. :)

Ask Vauxhall if you can use that one?

A lot of the images provided for press releases are provided copyright free - the value for Vauxhall is in getting the image seen!

Talk to their PR/Marketing department...

the last time we asked for a image for a wall display we got told to Get Lost so i dont think that will happen

just one more thing it is for a vauxhall parts website neew / used parts so vauxhall can see us as competing with them

i will give the pr team a e mail

"Don't ask, don't get" is the rule you'll find most often...
