Images for zoetrope - continuous shooting

Hi All

i'd like to create a zoetrope (those vintage circular spinners that show an image moving slightly in every shot and when you spin it, it looks like the image is moving). I apologise if that doesn't make a lot of sense, my English isn't great!

I'd like to use an image of my daughter doing a cartwheel... are there settings on the camera that can take about 30 images really quickly to capture this?

It’d help if you told us what camera.

As all cameras have different specifications

Lot easier doing a video and extracting frame by frame I would have thought
