I have the same old dilemma I see on here very day and wonder if anyone can help.
I have a 7D 24-105 f4 IS and 70-200 f2,8 non IS lens.
I want to go full frame for no other reason than it is something I want to try and I have ruled out a 5D MKII as for me after the 7D it is too basic, I have been offered a D700 body from my Boss and was considering a Nikon 28-300 VR as a walk about lens and a decent Nikon 17-35 f2,8 for landscapes which I really want to get into hence the desire for full frame.
My question is has anyone used the Nikon 28-300 VR and were you happy with it? Is it a good choice for just every day images?
I have seen this http://jbipix.com/?s=28-300 and the images seem acceptable although I do appreciate there is a lot of curve at the short end to correct.
My Boss wants to know if I want his camera by tomorrow as if not he is putting it on eBay to end on Sunday evening as he is in a hurry to sell after buying a D3x.
I can just about afford it but will need to sell my Canon kit before I can buy the lenses
