Good shot Jo. (y) All kidding aside this has been a fun thread, but when you get over the natural inclination to fill the frame with detail which everyone does when they get a long lens, we shouldn't forget that it's how the shot succeeds as a picture which counts really, and it's usually better to show the whole bird and some of it's surroundings for a more pleasing result.

I think the same is true with macro too -when you've got over the huge magnification shots, it's often better to back off a bit and go for the more pictorial shot.
 
Some nice shots, no motorsport local today or the BSB on a wee break so took the new 400mm out to the park. Not as good as some here.
