Yes
8.20 this morning the back end slipped on my Citreon C5 Estate on a wet bend with deisel spillage..
I ended up an embankment before bouncing off a fence, somersaulting through mid air and landing on it's roof then slid on the roof a few yards.

I was trapped hanging upside down in the car for 2 minutes before anyone came along in a fume filled car and couldn't break the windows to get out.

Walked away with a sore knee and shoulder and a bit of skin off my little finger and all I had with me was my damned phone camera which doesn't have WAP enabled so I can't share them.

Total write off and I don't know where the front end of the car went but it's no longer attached to the car.

Where's Gary when you need him? :)

Looking on the bright side, I'm now getting a brand new Focus ST as soon as the new reg comes out

Badluck on the accident, good to hear your ok though.(y)

Look at it this way, didnt have your camera gear for the shot, but also didnt get your camera gear bounced around in your car with all the risks of damage;)

Bad luck on the accident, but glad to hear you're OK which is the main thing (y)

Gary? He's probably being told off on another forum for being scum..lol

Glad you're able to tell the tale :)

That's scary, I rolled a Renault 19 on the A96, was only hanging there about 30 seconds but possibly the worst 30 I've ever had.

I rolled a Subaru on a track day at about 90, hit the tyre wall going sideways ! lol i was glad of the frameless windows though ! both side windows broke and allowed me to make my way out easily ! lol car was totalled though ! got pics of it somewhere ! wasnt a pleasant experience i have to say !

Wooo, nasty!! Glad you're ok and it's only a bit of metal so that doesn't matter. :)

Good news on the replacement car, a word of warning though, the orange looks horrible in the metal and not as good as it does on the advert.

Oh, and if you want to share the photos you can MMS the pictures to me and I can upload them for you. Send me a PM and I'll PM you my mobile number.

Thanks for the offer mate, I may be able to infrared them to my wifes phone and get them on the hard drive. The company hasn't enabled all the bells n whistles stuff so can't even MMS.

I'm still chuckling to myself because as I was hanging upside down all I could thing about was where my diary and petrol/parking receipts were so I could do my expenses :wacky:

I'ts amazing how your humourous side comes out at times like that.
I had the bobbies in stitches and the last thing I said to the garage when I emptied it was 'stick it through the car wash for me when you've finished'

PS: agree on the orange focus.
Looks like birds sick.

Glad you're okay, Bachs. The world needs bass players!

You should have handed them a bottle of Autoglym or Maguires and said 'Someone told me it'd polish out...' ;)

Horrific experience! Glad you are here to tell us about it.

Did the airbag deploy? and if it did, did it help?

There's a black one with the GP stripes on it near me that I think looks pretty tasty! :)

All the airbags went off except for the steering wheel one

Here's a pic I just managed to salvage.
Excuse the quality, it aint the best of phone cameras!

Fancy stopping there.....huh no consideration for others :nono:

Glad to hear you in 1 piece

It even made the traffic news up here.
They had to close the road for a wee while.

My ears were burning, but luckily not like Nicky Laudas'.

Probably not a good time to ask for a pay rise.

Is that an open invitation?

You were lucky to walk away from that with just a few scrapes! It's a good job no-one came tearing around that bend

You should have entered that in the outside competition, as in good to be on the outside.

Glad your ok

blimey Steve! Glad your ok mate

in younger days i was in a mk1 escort my 'friend' rolled in a coutnry lane, we cleared a 4ft gate and laded some 10 meters into the field, my door was wedged shut by the fence post that we landed against, all the glass in the car except my window was broke. I had a cut finger, 2 girls in the back were a mess and the driver lost a fair bit of skin off his arm, and his no claims..

omg. just goes to show how cars are designed to basically crumble away to take the grunt of the impact and leave you hanging upside wondering where you kept the fuel receipts.

Glad to hear you're ok, bachs. Make sure you get checked out by a doctor.

Bloomin' 'eck, Steve! Glad you got out in one piece. I can hear the rubberneckers now, saying "Noone got out of that alive!" Thank God you're okay!

And by the looks of it... it WILL polish out. Bit of elbow grease ought to do (y)

The gaffer took me to A & E for a full checkup.
I'll have a few bruises tommorrow and they warned me the shock might hit me tommorrow also.

I just feel really drowsy now.
Trying to have a nap with 3 kids and a six month old baby in the house...

No chance :puke:

Well Steve, The car is only material stuff and can be replaced, The main thing is you appear to be quite well after this pile-up.

Glad you are ok mate, Take care..:)

You'll wake up tomorrow, open the curtains and go "Holy cow someone's stolen the car!" ;) Glad to see your ok. That seems like quite an accident.

The car looks a mess - glad you're ok.

I think you'll like the Focus ST! ;)

Glad to hear you got away with it lightly. As they say, its only a piece of metal and can be fixed/substituted for another one.

You got away lucky looking at the pics. The marvels of modern Car Design.

Blimey Bachs:eek: ....glad you were able to walk away from it.

A lucky escape by the looks of it - glad you're OK.

As for the car - what's the phrase....ah yes - "I've taxed worse!" ;)

BEJAYSUS! Glad to hear you're ok dude. That looks and sounds pretty nasty. Makes my recent ding and whinge seem quite insignificant.

Thanks for the concern guys and gals...I'm thinking of buying a lottery ticket tonight.

It was quite an adventure but I spared a thought today for the unfortunate ones that have been killed and seriously injured on this stretch of road.
I got straight back in the saddle tonight and took my wifes' car for a spin (not literally of course) :|

Glad you're okay that could have been nasty.
I have to say an Orange Focus ST is me all over. I love the bright colours. Always used to love the Signal orange ,yellow and red, Ford had in the mid 70's. The brighter the better.
